ISO Mistake #16

Choosing a consultant that doesn’t understand your business or that you would find difficult to work with

We’re (consultants) obviously quite expensive on a daily rate basis (as will be any consultant), but you are likely to get the job done quickly by somebody who has done it many, many times before and, therefore, has a vast range of experience from different organisations and sectors that can be applied to your own system. In addition, you won’t be carrying an ongoing overhead.

Given that you do take the consultancy route and, regardless of whether you use us or anyone else, we’d like to help you de-risk you consultant choice.

Having worked with literally thousands of organisations out of the last 30 years, we are very confident that all organisations are totally unique. However, there are a small but significant number of components of any ISO system that can be shortcut with a range of templates. However, it should be noted that although we are able to supply templates, this is not the same as providing you with a suite of documents and saying, “right that’s all you need, lets gets assessed”. Any templates we can provide would need to be fully read, reviewed, modified to directly reflect your particular circumstances and, most importantly, adopted by your organisation.
